About

Built by connecting the pieces that are usually kept apart.

Remote monitoring, structured clinical programs, and real food don't usually come from the same place. Root Metabolic Health exists because they should.

Most weight-loss and metabolic health efforts fail for a boring reason: the pieces that should work together never actually talk to each other. A monitoring device reports data nobody acts on. A clinical program hands out a meal plan disconnected from what a patient can actually source or afford. Post-surgery support ends the moment a patient leaves the office.

Root Metabolic Health was built to close those gaps, by connecting three things under one system instead of leaving them scattered across three different vendors.

Where it came from

The founder behind Root Metabolic Health has spent over 30 years working across telecommunications, international medical travel, remote patient monitoring technology, and regenerative food production - four fields that don't usually overlap, but that turned out to be exactly the pieces this problem needed.

That included leading strategic alliances at a major national telecom, running client services for an international medical travel company coordinating bariatric and health-tourism patients across Canada, Southeast Asia, and Australasia - 20+ years of global health consulting experience across 110 contracted partners in 30 countries - and co-founding Taqtik Health, a remote patient monitoring platform built specifically for bariatric and obesity care and already proven directly with patients in the US. Root Metabolic Health is the Canadian arm of that same system. Alongside that, hands-on experience founding and operating a working farm in Alberta made the food side of the equation impossible to ignore: a care plan is only as good as what a patient can actually eat every day.

Root Metabolic Health is what happens when those threads get pulled into one system, instead of staying in separate careers.

What that means in practice

Every program runs on the same structure: Track daily data through remote monitoring, Guide behavior through a structured clinical program with real accountability, and Nourish the body with guidance to source real, pesticide-free food locally through a regional Alberta farm network. Each stage depends on the one before it - which is why skipping any of them is usually where weight-loss efforts quietly fail.
